We didn't know he was ill...we just thought he was a weak child
Doctors informed that Roopesh's condition would have been prevalent since birth, but it went unnoticed. "We thought he was a weak child. I used to tell him not to play outside for long and used to pay attention to what he eats, ensuring he gets all nutrients. But none of us imagined my son would be suffering from this terrible condition",says Roopa.
It was in January that Roopa and Chandrashekar noticed that his eyes were yellow. Doctors who treated him thought it was jaundice but even after days of treatment, he didn't recover. Further analysis of his blood samples and other tests confirmed he was suffering from liver failure.
He needs a liver transplant in the next few hoursRoopesh's condition has deteriorated in the last few hours and doctors are not option left but to perform the transplant immediately. But his parents have no funds left to pay for the treatment and is caught in very difficult situation.
"We are unable to arrange for the funds, our relatives are in similar financial condition and there is no wat they can help. Our only hope is generous donations from people. Otherwise, we will lose our son", says Chandrashekar.
