NRSD is a very special school. It welcomes 300 deaf students, girls and boys, and gives them access to education and knowledge. It is also a residential school, meaning the students from remote villages can live in the school. As the toilets were in very bad shape, Mr. Patil, the owner of NRSD, decided a few months ago, to request a loan in order to replace the commodities, raise the flooring and tile the floor and the walls.
When I visited this school, the loan had just been disbursed. I was able to observe the construction of the new toilets in progress. Everything seems to take place as planned. This loan should greatly improve the students’ comfort, especially for girls.
