    A.Y.SAATHVIK

    from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh

One cannot help but smile when you look at the goofy faces 3-year-old Saathvik makes when he meets people. However, when you get to know that such an innocent and happy kid is fighting for his life, that happy smile will turn into sadness. Can you then imagine the pain of his parents?

I had everything. Now, I might lose it all without your help.

“It seemed like I got everything I had ever wanted with the birth of my son. Now, I fear each moment that I might lose it all if my son does not get treatment on time. Saathvik has always been a naughty and active kid. A month ago, he looked extremely pale and that concerned us. We took him for a checkup and on diagnosis, we were shocked to know that he has a rare type of blood cancer. I’m still not able to accept that his life is in danger.” – Vidhya Lakshmi, mother

Saathvik has been diagnosed with Acute myelomonocytic leukemia. The doctors have informed that he needs several more cycles of chemotherapy and needs to be on regular medication until he turns 5 years old. The cost for the entire treatment is expected to be around 15 Lakh Rupees.

"Saathvik's father is unable to even be with us in the hospital as he needs to go to work. He cannot take care of the basic expenditures of the family otherwise. He cannot afford even a day's leave as it would lead to loss of pay. He also needs to be there for his old parents back at home who are very worried about their grandson." – Vidhya Lakshmi, mother

We had just begun saving for our kid and this happened…

“We already have spent more than 1 Lakh for the treatment so far with the help of friends and family. We have no money left. We had only begun to start saving for our kid and had never imagined that such an emergency would arise. I work as a professor in a private college in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. My wife is alone in Bangalore now with my son and it's so difficult for us to manage. We are a middle-class family who has just enough income to manage monthly expenditures. Where will we go to arrange such a huge amount?” –Yohesh, father

Saathvik can be saved with your timely help

Saathvik has a good chance of recovery with proper medical treatment and care. However, these parents are in dire need of money to continue their son’s treatment. They are struggling and asking everyone they know for help to save their only kid who is the sunshine of their lives.

Your contributions can save this little boy's life and bring back the family's lost happiness.
