When the results came back, they had told the stunned mother that Niya’s heart was extremely weak. Her baby’s tiny heart was struggling to pump blood throughout her small body, fighting to stay alive… but failing.



The doctors are saying that Niya's heart must still be weak from the viral fever she had last week. She needs to stay on ventilator support and get regular treatment for at least another 10 days, otherwise she'll not make it.

Gairunisa's husband, Naushad, is a factory worker. He stays and works in Bangalore, and is there right now because he can’t take any more leaves.
