"She was just 2 when her left eye was removed due to cancer and an artificial eye was implanted. She was slowly recovering, she did not realize that she is 'different' from others, she grew up very happy. But cancer now threatens to take her away from us once again. She cannot even speak now, she is bleeding profusely from her mouth. My husband and I have only one meal a day so that we can buy her medicines, we don't know how we can afford the treatment," - Hema, Mother.

We woke up to see her lying in a pool of blood

Chandra Babu and Hema used to take Meenatchi for checkups every month. All her reports were normal and she did not have any signs of complications. Last month, suddenly she started to bleed from her mouth, her parents were shocked to see her lying almost unconscious in a pool of blood. They rushed her to the hospital and were devastated to know that she has blood cancer and needs to start with chemotherapy soon. She also needs a bone marrow transplant without which it will spread everywhere and turn fatal.

"We beg her to eat and promise that we'll take her home if she eats properly, she manages to have one idly but the next minute she vomits everything. She is not able to bear the pain. Even her urine is full of blood. She can hardly sleep. Sometimes I leave the room, unable to see her suffering so much," - Chandra Babu

With a heavy heart, her mother had to leave the hospital

Hema spent sleepless nights to take care of Meenatchi and she has never let her move away from her even for a minute. Unfortunately, two days back, she got chicken pox and she had to leave the hospital. She cannot stay with Meenatchi until she recovers because she is prone to infections.Chandra Babu is now all alone at the hospital, physically and emotionally exhausted.

"She is asking for her mother and crying uncontrollably, I do not how to comfort her. I do not know why God is making us suffer so much.  I feel so helpless, we can't endure more," - Chandra Babu

They managed so far with the help of strangers but it is not enough

Chandra Babu is a daily wager, he does all odd jobs and manages to earn around Rs 6000 per month. They are given a free bed at the hospital but they have to spend on the medicines and they skip meals to buy it. Looking at them struggle, the other families in the ward helped them with whatever they could. A few of his friends in his hometown helped him too but it is nowhere close to the amount they needed for the treatment. Chemo cycles and the transplant costs 15 lakhs. They are desperately waiting for your help.

"No child should go through this pain, we are just helplessly watching her suffer, I'm begging everyone, please help us save her, " - Chandra Babu

This 4-year-old who is in excruciating pain will lose her life to cancer without your help
