WaterAid is an international NGO founded in the UK in 1981. Its mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities. In 2009-10 alone, through projects supported by WaterAid, almost 240,000 people in India gained access to safe water and sanitation.
