How a Milaap loan made her pay fees, buy groceries, learn skills and more…

S. Usha is a 38 year old heart patient. What has changed the situation for her, is that now she has a steady income with which she is able to pay her medical expenses. She took a training course in making banana value added products and doubled her monthly income. Not only is she able to take care of her medical bills, but she has been able to pay her son’s tuition fees and buy him uniforms.

She has also replaced the spoilt roofing in her house. Her family eats better now, since she can afford more groceries. I asked her what she wants to do in the future, she said that she plans to learn more skills. She dreams that her son will become an engineer in the future, and wants to work towards achieving this.
