"She was just an innocent 10-days-old baby when we adopted her. The day she came into our lives, we promised that we would never give up on her, ever. She gave us new hope, but now she is fighting with a dangerous disease. We have been doing everything possible to save her life for the past 3 and a half years. The only thing that can save her right now is a transplant. But it is completely beyond our means," - Jayanthimani, mother.

She is unaware of the world that exists outside the hospital
Jayanthimani and Vetrivel were very happy with every little progress that Vidyavikasini was making - finally they were proud parents. But their happiness was short-loved. She suddenly fell sick. She had fever and dysentery for many weeks, her blood count dropped drastically and when her parents took her to the hospital, her blood tests revealed that she has a blood disease due to which her body produces inadequate amount of hemoglobin.
"She needs transfusions every month - sometimes even twice a month. If we delay even a day, she becomes very tired and pale. We can't take her out anywhere, even small infections can turn dangerous for her. She has never had a normal childhood but she is unaware of it," - Jayanthimani.

Blood transfusions that saved her life is now threatening to be fatal
Vidyavikasini has been having blood transfusions since her 6th month of age. With repeated blood transfusions, the iron content in her body has increased. It can damage his organs and can even kill him. For the past 20 days she is in the hospital. She is getting worse with every passing day and bone marrow transplant is the only way to save her life.
"So many people warned us against adopting a child but we knew what we were doing. We always wanted to have a child and Vidyavikasini has brought back our happiness. We see her as our own daughter. But we feel so guilty now that we can't give her the life that we had promised," - Jayanthmani.

We have nothing left with us to save our daughter
Vetrivel is an electrician and he earns around Rs 10,000 per month. He spends Rs 5000 every month for the blood transfusion and with the remaining money he barely manages his other expenses. He has borrowed regularly from all his friends and relatives till now. Now he needs 17 lakhs for the transplant which is beyond his means.
"All we have is our daughter, we are longing to see her live a normal life like any other children. We have been living with fear of losing her. There is no life for us without her, please help us to save her," - Vetrivel.
Without your help, all the efforts of these poor parents will go in vain. Only your contribution can save their daughter's life
