Without Your Help, Newborn Baby Will Lose Her Twin Sister Forever

It has been a month since the twin babies of Jeyakumari were born but she had not held them in her arms even once. She wishes to go back in time to the days where she was carrying them in her womb, as it was only time her twins were safe and secure. One of her twins is safe now but she is not completely relieved because her other twin is still battling for life and will not survive without continuing treatment. Unfortunately, she cannot afford it anymore.

"My water broke at the most unexpected time, I was bleeding, I thought I'll lose my babies"

Arul Seelan and Jeyakumari were on cloud nine when they found out they were going to be parents, after 3 years of marriage. The scan revealed even more exciting news - there were two viable heartbeats- they were having twins! Everything went smooth until her 7th month. One day, around 11 pm her water broke and she started bleeding heavily. Arul rushed her to the hospital and she had an immediate C- section. Jeyakumari vaguely remembers wheeling her into the operation theater and then everything became a blur. She kept telling the nurses - "Please save my babies."

"In my first glimpse of my twins, the bandages and cotton dressing that surrounded them glowed larger than their bodies. Their tiny chests vibrated from the high-frequency ventilator. It was more painful to see them suffering than my physical pain." - Jeyakumari.

Baby was born with ruptured bowel and it took 48 hours to drain the fluid in her stomach

The twins, both girls,  were extremely premature and they needed ventilator support as soon as they were born. However, Twin A has more complications, she has hole in the wall of part of the intestinal tract. The swelling in her stomach was reduced only after the fluid in her stomach was drained. It is a painful procedure in which a needle is placed through the skin to drain the infected fluid. She has severe digestion problem. She can have only 1ml of milk for every 4 hours, now they have increased to every 2 hours but anything more than that, she vomits. Initially, it was green in colour which is usually a sign of liver problem. Now vomiting is under control but she has a long road ahead to recover.

"It is very hurtful when people who come to visit us say, "At least one is doing well". How can I not grieve when I'm losing my baby? They have been together in my womb, how can my other baby grow happy if she lose her twin forever?" - Jeyakumari.

"Bills are piling up everyday and I have nothing left with me anymore"

Arul works as a software Engineer in a private company and earns Rs 40,000 per month. He has spent Rs 7.5 lakh so far with the help of his friends and relatives. He has also exhausted his savings of 1 lakh. He has sold all jewels and has even mortgaged the jewels of his sister-in-law and promised to give them soon but still it wasn't enough. He needs 8 lakh more to continue the treatment. He feels completely lost and without your help he will lose his baby forever.
