Baby Saenisha has a huge hole in her heart which is leading to lower-than-normal levels of oxygen in her body. The only cure for her condition is an urgent heart surgery, but her parents Dinesh and Vidhya cannot afford it and are begging for your help.
‘Every other week she gets admitted in the ICU’
Vidhya used to work as a junior nurse in a small hospital in Chennai before conceiving. Therefore, she knew the importance of getting regular scans and check-up. She made sure to never miss a single session or skip a prenatal tablet. But despite doing everything right, the baby’s heart condition did not reflect in any scan. Ever since her birth, Saenisha had to be rushed to the hospital for at least 3 times now.
“She gets so breathless that it looks like she is choking on her own saliva. She gets lung infections and fever regularly, and whenever that happens she gets admitted in the ICU. I don’t know how her tiny body cannot take all this strain. I want to end all her pain in one instant, but that is something beyond my reach,”-Dinesh Kumar.

Dinesh Kumar works as a contractual mechanic and earns less than Rs 500 per day. Vidhya used to work as a nurse for less than Rs 10,000 a month before she had Saenisha. She had to quit and stay back at home to take care of the baby when she was diagnosed with heart disease. Despite having no savings, the couple begged and borrowed to spend more than Rs 40,000 on the baby’s treatment. Now, they need Rs 3 lakhs for her surgery, but it is an amount that they cannot afford it in this lifetime.“We don’t have relatives who can help us. Everyone we know is poor and fighting for their own survival. This is our only child and we cannot afford to lose her at any cost. Please help us,”-Dinesh Kumar.
