A Cylinder Blast Has Left This Young Mother Completely Burnt, She Needs Urgent Treatment

Reshma woke up that morning, prayed and went to the kitchen to make tea for her family. The 23-year-old had just put the saucepan on the stove when suddenly there was an explosion. Before she understood anything, the kitchen door blew off and she was left completely burnt from a cylinder blast. Reshma’s entire body was ablaze in fire. She was screaming out in pain when her father-in-law rushed in and put a blanket on her.

“They immediately took her to the hospital but so many hospitals turned her down. Finally when they got her admitted she was almost unconscious - the pain was too much. It was the 18th of February and since then my wife has been fighting for her life. She needs constant medical care but from where do we get so much money?” - Sabeer, husband.

Her 4-year-old son is afraid to touch his own mother

Reshma was happy in her own small world. She was the dutiful daughter-in-law and a dedicated mother to her son. She missed her husband, Sabeer, who was working away. But she consoled herself thinking that he would soon come back for his holidays. But things didn’t turn out as planned. Reshma is now in immense pain - almost her entire body has been charred by the unfortunate cylinder blast.

“The pain and the blisters are so much that she can’t sleep properly - she has to sleep on her belly. But on most nights, she stays awake, unable to sleep, crying in pain. Our son is afraid to come near her. He peeps from behind the curtains and runs away. I am sure that breaks her heart but she is too prone to infections. She begs me to bring our son to her, but I can’t,”- Sabeer

My savings are over and now I don’t have a job - how will I save my wife?

Sabeer left for India as soon as he heard about Reshma’s accident. He used to work in Abu Dhabi  as a daily wager, he earned about Rs 15,000 a month. But the sudden travel expenses and the treatment of his wife have used up all his savings. He has no means to continue his wife’s treatment any more.

“She is recovering slowly, but she still needs care. The doctors have told me that Reshma would need at least two months of dressing. We have already spent over 20 lakhs with the help of our friends and relatives. We would need another 25 lakhs or else we will lose Reshma. Please help us,” - Sabeer.

Sabeer and his 4-year-old are praying for Reshma every single day. That's all they can do to save her now. They are looking up to you for help - a small contribution from your side will bring back their happiness
