With Only Few Hours Left For His 3-Month-Old's Heart Surgery, This Father Begs For Your Help

“One look at our baby in the ICU and my wife, Anjum almost fainted. I immediately held her in my arms as she kept on saying ‘I can’t watch my baby like this.’ I tried telling her that surgery will cure Inaya but she's in shock. Her condition scared me, I sent her back with my sister to our home in Uttar Pradesh. I promised to bring back Inaya safe and sound to her. But now the doctors tell me that my baby needs an urgent heart surgery in few hours - how I will arrange for the money, how will I save my daughter?” - Mohd. Shadab, father.

A 3-month-old baby can have heart disease - I couldn’t believe what I heard

Anjum and Shadab were overjoyed when baby Inaya was born to them. They wanted to give her the best of everything. But unfortunately, two months after her birth, Inaya’s parents noticed that she couldn’t breathe properly. She started catching a cold on and off - her fever didn’t seem to go.

“5 days ago her condition turned so serious. Her lips turned blue. Without wasting any more time, we decided to take her to Delhi. There the doctors admitted her to ICU. For the last 4 days she has been there - she hasn’t even opened her eyes. The doctors said her heart is not working, the only way out is surgery.”

I try talking to her hoping she will wake up

Shadab has hardly eaten anything in the last few days, he hasn’t even slept for a few hours. He waits outside the ICU, hoping to take a look at Inaya. He is worried that he won’t be able to see her anymore, if he can’t afford the surgery.

“I try talking to my baby girl, hold her hand, tell her that she will be fine. I want to believe that she can hear me. I tell her ‘Abbu will save you’ but in my heart I am afraid. I have already sold my wife’s jewellery, but the Rs 70,000 I got is not enough. I need another 5 more lakhs.

How you can help this desperate father

A street vendor by profession, Shadab makes only about Rs 9000 in a month. He not only takes care of his wife and newborn but also his old and ailing mother. His baby girl needs an urgent surgery in a few hours but this helpless father doesn’t even have a rupee in his pocket. You can extend your helping hand to this family and help them save their baby girl.

Your generous contribution can save Inaya's life
