Ashaben L Thakor of Puja Mahila Mandal is at the learning stages of her business. She has formulated a plan and now she is developing the right skills to execute her plan. Ashaben regularly attends sewing classes to learn intricate and useful stitching techniques that will help her take high-end orders. This time, with her loan of Rs.15,000, Ashaben bought a second-hand sewing machine, as her old machine got damaged.
Before the loan and classes, she could only take simple stitching orders that would bring her barely Rs.1000 per month. Now, with a new machine and classes, she hopes to make much more. Ashaben's husband works in a factory and she has two daughters and one son.
