Story

With the world progressing towards a just society and our country having de-criminalised Section 377 of the IPC, the question arises, “what next?” With this in mind, it is time to delve deeper into working towards the rights of the LGBTQ community. This community is not new and has existed for ages, but has constantly been veiled by societal norms and political bureaucracy.

When laws fails to serve its purpose systematic oppression seeps in. Now it's time to place our candle of hope in people’s heart to ignite our long darkened skies. We are awaiting the dawn where faith and love would be triumphed over hate and murder. The need of the hour is to make them aware of our existence, our needs and our capabilities. We feel that the way forward, now, is to sensitise people towards the Transgender Community. Traversing through this path, we are coming up with one of its kind, ‘Trans Colour’ festival: TransBosonoto Utsab’19.

Looking forward to your support, such that you may let the colours boom and the sparkles glitter in their lives as well.

The funds raised would be utilised in funding the TransBosonto Utsab. The detailed plan of the event has been uploaded along with the concept note. The event would be held in collaboration with the Jadavpur University, Kolkata. This festival is a historical event in Kolkata.
