The aim of this project is to make a 2d map of landfills/garbage (hotspots) spread in various regions across india through the use of satellites. This hotspot includes several locations in Mumbai where waste is dumped directly into the oceans. Our country is a global contributor of ocean plastic just like indonesia!
My software can help identify the threat (plastic pollution) much faster than conventional search and find methods which are tedious and laboursome.

What's so special about this book?
A picture worth a thousand words this is especially true when it comes to satellite images.. This book is created by analysing thousands of satellite images, each image is sorted by software to reveal any illegal mines, landfills and whatnot!
Every donor will be eligible for a (non-commercial) redistributable copy of ""mahabharata of distribution"" with 4k resolution images.
This database is unbiased, independent compilation and doesn't rely solely on government data, you can look around your neighbourhood for clean and rubbish areas and verify yourself.
Most cities have much bigger landfills and open dump yards that'll even put shame to infamous Bandhwari landfill situated near Faridabad-Gurugram road

How can I help?
It costs more than 1 lakh to 10 lakh indian rupees to run commercial software on an average city like gwalior alone! It is expensive and time consuming endeavour, manually searching satellite image one by one is even more time consuming,
Although this software of mine is far from cutting edge commercial software, still it gets the job done for the most part! but it is still very slow due to underpowered hardware
A high end powerful workstation pc will solve this problem and that is where you come in, this is a very unique project in itself and so is the hardware

1. Do note that due to fluctuating dollar, availability and compatibility of different components final rig may differ slightly however this will give you a general idea about the cost.
2. Do understand that its not a full time job for the author and so more funding is always appreciated to purely support the author
3. Every image is sliced into custom size called tiles and processed by the software, these images or tiles are used purely for non commercial purpose and are not distributed more than 5,000 copies, for this project maximum of 12k Megapixels worth of images will be used by the author for inference including the images in the book, rest fund provided by this campaign will be used for inference

i'm using this website cuz until now there has been a lack of major crowdfunded scientific research on milaap.
