My name is Triveni Fotedar and I’m writing this as a letter for donations for my Master’s Degree in Modern European and German studies at the University Of Haifa, Israel. I was granted the German Scholarship called DAAD which covers 85% of my tuition fees.

I am a first generation kashmiri hindu girl born after the 1990 genocide. My brother and I were brought up with bare minimum and even then my family made sure I got the right education. It was my hardworking parents' encouragement which led me to do academically well throughout school and college. 

To earn my master’s degree I have to write a thesis. I’ve selected my dissertation topic as “A comparative analysis between Nazis and the Islamists in Kashmir: The Kashmiri Hindu Genocide”.  

I have paid the rest of my 15% tuition fees with help but I need your help for my living expenses and visa for Israel. 

Darwin gave the theory of evolution its crux being survival of the fittest. Kashmiri Hindu community has faced prior to 1990, 6 genocides, and we’ve emerged victorious. It is not the strongest of the species that survive or the most intelligent but the one most responsive to change. We all have goals and one of my goals is to set the Kashmiri Hindu narrative as the fountainhead instead of the dominant narrative prevalent in academia which not only paints a false picture but also has hardly ever spoken about the Kashmiri Hindu community. 

When you meet a swordsman, draw your sword. This would be a huge step in my ladder towards my goal. I plan on finishing my masters in a year and further working in international relations for a couple of years. I want to pursue a doctorate in diplomacy and put the Kashmiri Hindu narrative on the map. 

I am a hard-working, resilient, and determined student with a 8.83 CGPA in my bachelor's degree and later in life I plan on pursuing a doctorate in diplomacy. I need to raise this by 1st of March 2022 so that I can apply for my visa and leave for the next semester in Israel. I would demonstrate unparalleled diligence and exuberance in the classes and research colloquium. I would be highly obliged if you would donate to this cause
