Tillie’s Journey
5-month-old Tillie was rescued from dogs and rushed to the Emergency IPD at Cessna Lifeline, Bangalore. In the attack, she suffered a spinal fracture, multiple puncture wounds and internal bleeding. Over the next two days consulting with various doctors, the opinion was that she was unlikely to recover mobility and full organ function and should be put to sleep. However, after a final discussion with the doctors at Cessna, the decision was made to try a spinal stabilisation surgery, though the procedure was risky and uncommon with only a handful of cases being done in India and only with adult cats.

Against all odds, the surgery was successful and Tillie was on the path to recovering with the hope that she would have a normal life with continued treatment for at least six months. Unfortunately, a few days after her surgery she was diagnosed with Feline Parvovirus (FPV) for which she was readmitted to the isolation ward at Cessna.
The funds raised here will be used to cover the costs of her surgery, treatment at Cessna and long term care which involves laser, neuro and hydrotherapy as well as physio.
Tillie’s shown us her fighting spirit and we’re determined to help her through these challenges. Please consider contributing to Tillie’s ongoing journey. We’ll also share regular updates via social media. Thank you!
