My name is Uma and I am making this appeal to save my mother's life. Everyone loves their mother and the bond with her is special and priceless. As a young girl my mother had been a school teacher and married an auto driver. Within the first few weeks after marriage the shocking news of complex heart disease was diagnosed and in 1986 my parents had sol all the property and jewellery they had to perform a Fontan procedure. Life had been a struggle with two girls and the joy and pride for my mother had come from teaching us life values and the importance of education.

My mother is now a home maker and the proud parent of two young women and is now a grand mother. The lungs have worsened and she has poor heart function. This can be corrected by an urgent pulmonary valve replacement. She is not fit for open heart surgery and a new technology to replace the heart valve has now given us hope.


I am unable to bear the cost of 10 lakhs required and wish to appeal to all Milaap donors to help save my mother's life
