My name is Siddhartha Roy and I am here to fundraise for my cousin, Sourav Roy.

Sourav Roy is a 40-year-old single bread earner of the family, who until the 12th of August,2019 was leading a happy family life with his wife, kid, parents, and in-laws at Hyderabad. But, since 12th August 2019 everything went haywire for this software professional, as he had a sudden cardiac arrest. Upon being accompanied by his wife to the hospital, he was admitted at the Kamineni Hospital, Hyderabad with immediate effect as an emergency case. Upon coronary angiogram and diagnosis, Sourav was found to be having a 70% heart blockage and the same being the cause of the sudden cardiac arrest. Initially, thus, he had to undergo angioplasty (stent insertion surgery) as a treatment to his blocked arteries. Three days post angioplasty, he was diagnosed with arterial rupture and blood clot around the heart leading to hypotension and multi-organ failure. As a result of the same, on 16th August, the surgeon did an open heart surgery to patch the rupture and drain out the blood clots. Since then he is on ICU with acute renal failure and lung infection. As a treatment to the same, he is on continuous sessions of dialysis but unfortunately with no developed results as such. To the unfortunate fate of him and his family & friends he has been diagnosed with Septicemia and other hospital-borne infections on the 2nd of September, 2019 and has been pushed back to ventilation with him being shifted to the Critical Care Unit of the hospital from the ICU. At present, he is on complete life support at the CCU of the hospital. Now, the massive and long-drawn treatment of Sourav, has to lead to the exhaustion of the hard-earned corporate medical insurance policy amount and with each passing day of treatment and belief of Sourav coming back to normalcy, it is becoming difficult for his other non-earning members of the family to bear the huge hospitalization and required medical expenditures. Thus, it would be great if his treatment is supported with fundraising from your end, as he and his family members need the same
