Can you imagine 60% of the students dropped out from a Government school at Hosur only because they don't have transport facility, There were around 600 students before 5 years, as days passed by the strength of the school reduced to mere 90 and for the past 2 years it went worse due to COVID.
MASCOTs an NGO which has adopted 8 schools as a part of school development program converted the school to a top class techno school with stem lab and digital classes, infused around 18 lakhs and also a monthly recurrent expenses of 50 thousand for extra teachers and new courses targeting excellence in education, with all advanced infrastructure the school failed to attract its major chunk of students.

when a survey (door to door campaign to address the school dropouts) was conducted it was mind boggling to know even in these advanced times students from a village have to walk 3km to board government bus for school.
while an other village students had to transit two bus stands to reach school an hour late everyday.
Another village not a single student studies after 8th standard with 100% dropout just because they don’t have transport facilities to reach the town and complete their higher studies.
During our school dropout campaign along with teachers only complaint from the majority of the parents was transportation, With our promise to arrange transport we could increase the school strength to 400 students but only if the demand of transport is met.
MASCOTs have decided to procure two used buses for a sum of 18 lakhs to address the transportation issue and get these students back to schools, we are expecting to manage maintenance of around one lakh per month with the support of local people.
We request you all to be a part of the change by contributing whatever little to this mighty cause of transforming socio economic status of these poor families which can happen only through education.
