Milan Ekadash is an NGO working for poor rural people at Nandigram in West Bengal since 1996 to improve and strengthen the Socio- Economic condition of the downtrodden / underprivileged rural people by providing education , health and livelihood  services to the poor, needy and distressed.
Members of “ Milan Ekadash” took the initiative by starting an effective school “Milan Academy School” in April,1999 the first Primary Level ( Nursery to Class IV ) institution at Mahammadpur- Madhabpur it provides quality education to poor children of this area. School has been going on in a progressive manner. The school has a committed group of 7 teachers 2 administrative staff and supportive  staff  with 170 students on rolls. Most of the students living under the Below Poverty Line (BPL). We have purchased 68.5 decimals land for this School .
But due to Super Cyclonic AMPHAN on 20th May,2020, our Milan Academy School was completely destroyed and this Cyclonic Storms twisted iron grills , uprooted trees that collapsed on Houses. Hundreds  of houses were left twisted and ravaged by the raging storm.
We were started our construction work and already completed upto Roof Level  . Now we are completely out of Funds and Roof work is still pending. Total Roof area is 1600sqft and approx Fund needed Rs. 4 lakh. Due to long Lock down and AMPHAN  we are facing a lots. We are unable to complete the Roof works due to Fund shortage.
