I am raising funds for the treatment of my brother Rakesh who is 36 years old. We live in Hisar, Haryana with his two girl child, (wife expired in 2013) and parents.
Rakesh has been fighting Brain disease called meningitis. He has two shunts to drain out Csf fluid from the brain and after the surgery in Feb 2019, his lungs was not working due to infection in his respiratory system and remained on ventilator support for three months continuously which further damaged his food pipe and wind path. Due to damage, he is feeded with Feeding tube since then. Dr has performes various surgeries to treat such condition but failed to improve the condition and deterioted further and his legs and hands movement stopped.
Every two weeks we have to take him to the hospital for regular checkups which is again cost us around 10-20K. To take care of him, we have been advised to take home care services which again cost us around Rs. 25K in addition to medicines and other consumables.
He also developed Tuberculosis and treatment is going on.
He has been on life saving medications since the surgery.
We have been advised to continue the treatment at home. We are trying hard to arrange Rs. 5 lakhs through our family and friends over the period of time.
Until now, we've spent about Rs. 25 lakhs for surgeries and home care over the span of 2.5 years. We do not have any insurance coverage as well. Therefore we had to manage it from our savings. We also sold our house to get some money and shifted to smaller one.
This month again, he started feeling difficulty in breathing and we rushed immediately to hospital (Jindal Institute of Medical Sciences, Hisar (Haryana) Currently, patient is on ventilator support. We are reaching out to you to seek support in this expensive treatment.
In spite of his predicament, Rakesh has a fighting with spirit and positive attitude which has helped him undergo such painful treatment
