It’s a story of a past filled with suffering, a present full of hope and endurance, and a future that promises to be brighter than ever before.
Pramod was born in a nuclear family of 5 members. His parents are daily wage labourers. He joined Navjyoti India Foundation in 2009 where he found his calling and nurtured his talent when his life looked bleak. Pramod’s innate craft skills have been evident ever since he participated actively in the arts and craft classes.
The itch to make a difference in his life led Pramod to work immensely hard and secure one of the coveted seats in the premier institute of Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai and all that in the first attempt.
Pramod travels about 4 hours up and down the local trains changing 3 auto rickshaws and covering a distance of 52 kms one side to reach his college everyday. Currently, he is finding it really difficult to pay the rent due to financial constraints and he is looking for support for accommodation nearby his college so that he can make best use of his time to pursue his studies.
Your support means a lot to us.
