India is a developing nation, with a lot of promises for the future. Yet One-half the population of India, a steep number at 620 million still defecates and urinates out in the open.

In particular, most of the public streets and corners of Delhi are seeping with urine. Open urination causes health hazards that include aerosol poisoning, as harmful gases get mixed in the air we breathe. We surveyed the people on the streets of Delhi, on why it is happening?

There is a common consensus with everyone: "Lack of Urinals."

   BasicShit is a collective with the goal to develop accessible urinals from plastic waste recycling. Our single urinal is made of 55kg of plastic trash equivalent to 2750 bottles which helps in saving 0.0935 tons of carbon emission from going into earth's atmosphere and costs Rs. 20,000/- each. Help us create treasure from trash!
This male urinal consists of a charcoal cartridge that filters out the urine and gets soaked by the earth and is designed in a way to incorporate a plant that will soak out the filtered urine from the charcoal itself. Charcoal helps in suppressing the urine smell. This Urinal once installed has zero maintenance cost.
We have collaborated with Auto-Drivers and which has pushed the campaign even further to access the right places. With the help of Auto Drivers across Delhi we are installing and already installed two urinals at Inner Ring Road, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, New Delhi. Auto Drivers are helping us in finding the hotspot where the urinal is absolutely needed for the general public and further installing the urinal on their own.  
Our team is also designing a nature-friendly Public Female Urinal, soon we will also start installing that.

We have taken a pledge to install 60 urinals across Inner Ring Road Delhi, which extends to 56 KMs. This would require INR 12,00,000/-, through this campaign we are reaching out to everyone for their help to make the dream of open urination-free Delhi Possible.
