My brother, Samrat Roy and my sister-in-law, Swarnali Roy Dasgupta had their twin babies (one boy and one girl) on 26.09.2019 at Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Childcare. The babies were premature and both of them were in NICU for the first few days. Dr. P. Kole is their Pediatrician since then.
After a few days, the babies showed improvement and were shifted to SCBU. The very next day, the baby boy was detected with a severe case of NEC. The doctor wanted to cure it through medicines but it was impossible,thus the only option left was surgery.
Surgery was done on 4.10.2019 and 15cm of his infected small intestine was removed. He was in ventilation for quite some time. He is still in NICU. There will be a 2nd surgery on 25.10.2019. The baby girl is in SCBU.

More than Rs. 10 Lakhs have already been spent on their treatment. Rs. 6 lakhs is still required for treatment.
