They lost their only child to a drowning accident in the year 2008. As if losing a son, who was also the primary breadwinner for them, wasn't enough of a trauma, their financial condition deteriorated and they were forced to live from hand to mouth. Navneet Bhatnagar and his wife, Shobha Bhatnagar, continued tailoring and sewing to make ends meet. They did not give up hope even when this means of livelihood fell apart. At the age of 60, they started selling tea in a nearby market of Ghaziabad.
When nothing could break their morale, CORONA happened! We're well aware of what the CORONAVIRUS pandemic has done to the weaker sections of the society, and their family is no exception. With markets being shut and all lives coming to a halt, it is becoming more and more difficult for the couple to survive. Thus, when we received a call from helpless Navneet Uncle for the first time in over 10 years, we couldn't just be mere spectators.
