Dear Friends,

The daily wage earners and unskilled labourers in our area are a worried lot today. They can't earn because of the lockdown (and now with the period being extended by a further 19 days) and many have not been paid their last month salaries.

We have an idea. Let all of us contribute - even small sums like INR 100 to 200 considering each needy family, so that we can buy ration and prepare individual ration packets for such families.

Some socially active, sympathetic and energetic youth of Asansol (West Bengal) have established an Organization to help poor families in the lockdown announced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier too we have worked collectively for the betterment of the society but without any banner but now we feel - that the magnitude of the social issue is too large and we alone will not be able to control the repercussion after the recent announcements of lockdown extension, as made my the Honorable Prime Minister.
