I hope this post finds you in the best of your help.
I am Megha Diwan, resident of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. I need your help to fight for my parents’ treatment. Here is a brief of some of the difficulties we went through recently.
My father Kaushal Kumar Diwan and my mother Nirmala Diwan got infected of COVID last month and were admitted to a private hospital, Shri Balaji Institute of Medical Science Pvt. Ltd., Raipur. They were admitted in the ICUs on 27th April and since then they have been under treatment.
Papaji has been on 100% BiPAP Ventilator support, with lung infection of 90%, CT SS value- 24/25, oxygen saturation fluctuating between 75 to 85, and the day before yesterday he underwent tracheostomy when intubation was not sufficient for him to breathe.
Mummy remained on ICU for 23 days and recently her corona test came negative which was a big relief for all of us. She has just started doing good, is in common ward of the hospital now, on oxygen support constantly and is expected to come back a few days from now, touchwood, If everything remains good.
Papaji is the only earning member in the family and his condition is still very serious. He is not responding much currently and looks paralyzed. He is merely able to open his eyes sometimes. Yesterday, Mucormycosis test was done too, but thankfully, the report was negative. Last night, once again his oxygen saturation and other parameters started declining. This is very difficult to manage emotionally and mentally, now.
With constant prayers, while we are still hopeful for their recovery, we are running short of funds now. All that our bank accounts could have managed has gone nearly depleted. It has been nearly a month since they were admitted. Just medicine expenditure so far has touched nearly 6 lakhs rupees. Constant ventilator support, oxygen, plasma, injections, mucormycosis and several other tests have been done so far and cumulative expenditure is expected to go nearly 20-22 lakhs rupees as of now.
I feel pity for myself that I have to plead for your financial help, but this looks the only way, I can manage now onwards. Your support in this difficult time would help me to gather courage to fight for my parents’ recovery.
Along with this, I need another help. Please, please pray for my parents’ speedy recovery. Anything that I currently want to happen is to see them back home fully recovered.
