Our sister needs help and love desperately right now!
Watching the Lord move here in India has been SO beautiful - in a place where the gospel is rejected and/or not widely known, God has so intentionally orchestrated interactions and opportunities to glorify His goodness!
For my dear friend, a local shop-owner, mother of three, born and raised here in India, I am reaching out to ask for help in reminding her of God’s mercy over her life. To honor her privacy, I will not share her full story, but just know the extent of her needs are great.
After an arranged marriage, being forced into having children, and forced in spiritual practices, this woman has found the strength to run away from her abusive husband and raise her children on her own - while living in extreme poverty. Her eldest daughter (10 years old!) suffers from severe health challenges has been in and out of the hospital for months, placing impossible financial burdens on this mamma. Faced with having to pull her two other children out of school, and not feeding herself, in attempts to pay medical bills, this mom is slowly losing her strength. Having been exposed to Christianity by her aunt (disowned from the family for following Christ), this women holds onto the hope of our Savior in private. Working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, she is working tirelessly to give her children a shot in life. She is lonely, afraid, and heartbroken. Questioning why each one of us are born into particular lives and circumstances, I am SO humbled knowing that there was nothing we did to earn the platform we were given.
Luke 3: 10 “what should we do then, the crowd asked”
11: “John answered, ‘anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same’”.
In the eyes of the Lord we are all worthy of the same love. I am reaching out to my friends and family to join me in this opportunity to support this family, and confirm in this mother’s heart the admiration Jesus has for her. Although money doesn't fix all matters, it’s a good place to start. At the very least it will shift her heart to a position of remembering that the Lord loves her and fights for her the very way she does for her own children.
Because of conversion rates, even $10 goes so far here. SO, if you are in the position to help in any way, your generosity will be valued more than you know! If you can’t help financially, no problem, all love/prayers greatly appreciated 🧡
