Story

PCL is a nonprofit organisation focussing on Education and is based in Bangalore. We work towards increasing access to STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Mathematics) education for all ages by combining it with art and creative projects. Our aim to make STEM education
accessible, affordable, and hands-on. In doing so, we hope to: bridge the knowledge-skill gap that currently exists and equip individuals with the tools they need to flourish in the workplace.

What do we do?
We offer a wide range of on-site and remote learning opportunities for different age groups through our innovative study materials & kits. We do this through STEM outreach programs which entails Teacher training through our DIY (Do it yourself) kits

How do we require your help?
Our next outreach program is at Nalanda, Bihar and Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.
  1. Nalanda, Bihar: We are working with the local government to introduce our kits to 10 government schools. We would be travelling there to train the teachers in a science curriculum that is in sync with their syllabus
  2. VSM School, Chittoor: We are training 12 teachers at VSM school in a science curriculum with our kits.
We seek your assistance in facilitating the whole process which entails:
-Paying the teachers who would help us out
-PCL Kits production cost
-Travel requirement for the facilitators

What amount are we planning to raise?
INR: 1,02,214. We have calculated this amount to roughly cover all the above mentioned costs. Also the exact digit (02,214) is an ode to the avogadro number. Our quest to spread science is highlighted here too :)

What will you get in return?
Apart from helping out government children to better access science through our activity based learning methods, you will get a chance to own artwork from some amazing artists.
The process is that you get a chance to buy artwork from the link mentioned below and all the proceeds will go towards our projects.

Proof of work?
All the patrons will receive a final report of the work that has been done post the completion of the program, detailing how your contribution has made a difference.

The details:
The physical artworks will be delivered to the respective address starting January 2022. The digital artwork will be emailed to you. The fundraiser is open across the world.
