Hi, I’m Harish Budhwani, a singer-songwriter from India, and I’ve just been accepted into the Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) program at Berklee College of Music, Valencia Campus — one of the most prestigious music schools in the world.
For someone who discovered music as a lifeline during a personal crisis at 15, this moment feels like the culmination of a lifelong dream.

🎓 Why This Campaign?
The total cost of this one-year program is around $65,500 (₹55,50,000). With deep gratitude, I’ve managed to cover $23,500 (₹20,00,000) through personal savings and scholarships, but I’ve now exhausted all options. To cover the remaining ₹35,50,000, I’m turning to you — my extended community — for support.
This isn’t just about getting a degree — it’s about learning, growing, and creating music that connects across cultures and hearts.

🎶 A Bit About My Journey
I come from a humble background with no formal exposure to global music education. Over the last 10+ years, I’ve poured everything into teaching myself music, performing across the country, and writing songs that people can feel.
Some milestones I’m grateful for:

💿 What I Hope to Create
At Berklee, I plan to produce a first-of-its-kind album rooted in emotional storytelling and international sounds. One of the most personal songs I’ve ever written — “Aahista” — will be at the heart of this album.
If we raise more than the target amount, the additional funds will be used to:

• Support the production and global promotion of my debut album, making it accessible to listeners around the world.
• Pay it forward by supporting other aspiring musicians in their journey toward quality music education.

Q: What happens if the fundraiser doesn’t meet the full target? 

A: I will still proceed with the partial support and apply for an education loan for the remaining amount. Every contribution will ease the burden.

Q: What if the funds raised exceed the goal?
 A: Any extra funds will go directly into producing, marketing, and distributing my album after my course —and supporting other aspiring musicians in their journey toward quality music education.

Q: Is this donation tax-deductible? 
A: Milaap does not currently provide tax exemption certificates. This campaign is entirely donation-based to support education.
