North Karnataka farmers and several hundreds of families (especially those from Kalaburgi, Yadgir, Bijapur, Bidar, Belgaum, Raichur) are severely affected by recent rains/floods (October 2020).

Many have lost their houses, food, livestocks, shelter and hard earned money due to the flooding. Several kids, women and elders are facing health issues due to shortage of food, timely health support. Many are living with over 2-3 feets of water in and around their homes from past one week. More rains is expected in the coming days making the situation and life worsen then it is today.  Several deaths are reported too in this week and many are reportedly looking out for dear ones since few days. Animals, pets are not to be found either. NDRF and other agencies are trying their best in provide basic help and moving families to secure places but many will need financial help to overcome this crisis.
