I'm reaching out to you because I've finally started fundraising for my dad Mr. kunjukunju P P who has severe varicose veins problem in both legs. He is a diabetic patient, his cholesterol on the higher side. He is on Asthalin inhalers as has been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) for three decades. He is asthmatic and his condition worsens when he is exposed to cold and dust. He retired from Indian Air Force as a Corporal.
Prolonged standing could have also been a cause for the present varicose problem. It has gone to that extent wherein he cannot stand due to severe pain and lacks sensation over both the legs. Some areas seem darker than the skin. Also now there is an eruption of warts which has spread over both the feet area. We sought medical advice; the doctor with M G M Muthoot Medical Centre Pathanamthitta has advised him to undergo Laser treatment. As Sclerotherapy will not be helpful in his case, we decided to go for laser treatment. EndoVenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) will cost much and we cannot afford the same.
