Our beloved friend, batchmate, and faculty member at Pune Institute of Business Management David Nangmuansang Hangsing passed away on 13th September in Pune.  Only 33 years old, he leaves behind a wife and two little daughters.

A Faculty Member at Pune Institute of Business Management, he was loved by his students.  They remember him as a mentor who was always there to solve their problems and give guidance (with a smile on his face).

Some knew him as a friend, some as a teacher, some knew him as an ardent Church-goer, and some even knew him as an adventurer who never thought twice to go see the world solo. But what everyone emphatically knew him to be was a down-to-earth, soft-spoken and thoughtful guy that brought a sense of dignity with him wherever he went.

In his passing, we lost a steadfast and loving family man, a compassionate and uplifting teacher and guide, a passionate photographer who never failed to share his colourful world with his social media followers, and a dear friend who will always find an empty seat left for him when his friends meet again.

While we can’t share the burden of sadness his young family carries in his passing today, we can share the burden of the future that is laid upon them. As his friends and mates, let us honour his memory by fulfilling what we can of his duties in his stead. By contributing to the David Hangsing Memorial Fund, we will help make the transition to the next chapter of life for his family slightly less daunting, and hopefully, to a certain extent help secure the future of his kids.
 
We’re really sad that we will never get to see David’s sweet smile ever again, nor check out his latest photos on social media. We lost a good man, too soon!
