Helpless Mother Is Struggling To Save Her Premature Baby

When I went for a regular checkup in the 7th month of my pregnancy, the doctor told me that one of my twins wasn’t moving. They couldn’t find a heartbeat and were worried that the other twin’s life was also in danger. I lost one baby in the womb, and I was terrified of losing the other one. To save my only surviving twin, I had to deliver him immediately. When he was born, I just got a glimpse of him before they rushed him to the intensive care. Now, I only get to see him twice a day. I sit in the waiting room, eagerly waiting for them to call my name so that I can go and see my baby.” – Nayana, mother

Nayana was devastated after she lost one baby, now she's determined to do everything she can to save her baby boy
Nayana lives with her husband Madhu and her elder daughter Dhanya (3) in the outskirts of Bangalore, Karnataka. When she went for the regular checkup during 6th month of her pregnancy, she was told that both the babies were fine and healthy. She was excited to bring her twins into the world. But to her despair, during the 7th month of her pregnancy, she lost one twin and her baby boy was born prematurely. He is now on ventilator support as he has underdeveloped lungs. The baby is making progress each day but he needs to stay in the ICU for a few more weeks for his condition to improve.
“It’s so hard for me to see my baby struggling to live. I can only touch his head while every other inch of his body is already covered with tubes and wires. I never imagined that I would have to see my baby in this condition. It breaks my heart.“ - Nayana mother

Madhu has nothing left and is trying every possible way to help his son get better
Madhu works in a brick factory earning a meagre income of Rs 300 per day. He borrowed Rs. 50,000 to start his son's treatment. He has no one to help him save his son and now he’s about to exhaust all the money he borrowed and cannot afford further expenses.
“I want to be with my wife and son and take care of them, but I can’t. I’m working every day, knowing that the little income I earn is not even enough for me to arrange lakhs of rupees for the treatment. But I want to save my son anyhow. Now, I don’t have a single rupee left and all I can do is ask for help." - Madhu, father

I am overwhelmed by all the support!
I am glad to inform that the baby has recovered completely. The doctors plan to discharge it by this week. Hopefully all will go well.
During the brain scan, the doctors found three blisters in the head and have recommended an MRI scan after two months and physiotherapy for six months post which they would recommend a future course of action.
I am grateful for all the love and blessings you have showered on the baby. Please pray for his speedy recovery.
Regards,
Madhu (Father)

I am extremely grateful for all the love and support you have shown for the baby!
He is still on ventilator in the NICU. The doctors are keeping him under observation for another three weeks before deciding the future course of action. A few weeks back, he had a hole in his heart for which he was operated on, but is now recovering. He now weighs 1.55 kilograms.
I am thankful to all of you for all the blessings showered and request you to continue doing the same.
