Who am I?
I am a first-year student at Ashoka University, majoring in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship and minoring in Media Studies. I am interested in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Graphic Designing and Digital Marketing.
I just got selected to attend Harvard US India Initiative (HUII) Conference. The conference will take place at The Taj Mahal Palace, Colaba, Mumbai on 3rd-4th January 2020.
What is HUII?
HUII, or the Harvard College US-India Initiative, is a student-run organization that aims to create a dialogue between Indian and American youth to address some of India’s most pressing social, economic, and environmental issues today.
Started in 2011, the founders set out with the goal of fostering long-term cooperation between the United States and India and leveraging these relationships to address some of India’s most pressing social and economic issues.
Why is HUII important?
HUII is an amazing opportunity for me to meet young and aspiring leaders of the world. This will allow me to connect with people with whom I can collaborate to bring a positive change in society.
Why am I crowdfunding?
I have been working as an intern at MyGov with an unpaid internship. So, I am earning basically nothing at this stage.
Break-up of the expenses:
Delegate fee: ₹7,670(INR) or 108.34 USD
Travel Expenses: ₹4,000(INR) or 56.5 USD
Food and Lodging Expenses: ₹4,000 or 56.5 USD
Total Expenses: ₹15,670(INR) or 221.39 USD
However, I will be using all my savings for this conference and will be able to contribute only ₹5,670(INR) or 80 USD.
Hence, I will be requiring ₹10,000 (INR) or 141.25 USD in order to be able to attend the conference.
I will be extremely grateful if you can help me attend the conference. Also, I promise to help fund other people like me, once I start earning.
