I am raising funds for my house help, Anima didi, who lost her 35 y/o husband unexpectedly on 15th Oct, 2020. She needs your support in sustaining her children and old parents in these times of financial distress.
Anima didi is originally from a small village in West Bengal but she wanted to give her children (daughter 6 y/o and son 10 y/o) a better future so her family moved to Gurgaon 6 years ago. Together, they supported their family here and their parents back in the village and now she has a lot of responsibility with no financial support.
Her husband was a young, kind hearted soul, who has departed too soon. She is not only in a lot of emotional distress but also in a huge financial distress. They ran out of major savings when her husband lost his job in the pandemic and she has been strong in these struggling times to make ends meet single handedly working as a house maid, but this loss is a major setback and she needs external financial support.
She wishes to build a pucca (brick) house that she started with her husband. She still wishes to provide her kids with a better education and future and she needs your support for this. Your help might go a long way in her son being able to continue his education and not engage in child labor because of financial distress, a very tough decision on her and a key for their family to not get into a poverty trap.
