My mother needs your help. Please help us financially as every penny counts.

My mother is hospitalized for over 45 days now for the treatment of Post Covid Fibrosis: a condition where lungs are not able to function properly and breathing is obstructed. Lungs require support from high flow oxygen for their functioning.

My father has spent his lifelong savings of 5 lakhs. I and my husband have also exhausted our savings of 10 lakhs for her treatment so far. The charges per day for her treatment is Rs. 25,000 and at times there are additional charges based on her daily health condition.

My mother Anamika Chawla, is 64 yrs old with a history of Colon cancer operation in 2012. She was first detected with COVID 19 on 25th April 2021. Her CT scan done on 28th April 2021 with a score of 17 (out of 25).

She was admitted in United Eduplus Hospital (Karnavati) Uvarsad Gandhinagar on 29th April 2021. She was later shifted to ICU on 30th April and was put on BIPAP. 1st plasma given on 30th April and 1st dose of Ramdesivir given on the same day. Ramdesivir course continued and completed thereafter. BIPAP was continued and she was put on NRBM mask on 8th May, but again put on alternative of NRBM and BIPAP from 10th May 2021.

She was shifted to Icon Hospital Vastrapur on 12th May 2021 because of the lack of required BIPAP machine in the previous hospital. Initially put on BIPAP and then put on NRBM alternatively. She had maintained 92% SPO2 on 6ltr NRBM for 1-2 days around 6-7th May 2021, but then requirement increased to 10-12 ltrs in couple of days. Her second CT scan was done on 30th May 2021 with a score result of 23 (out of 25).

Due to lack of competent staff availability, patient was shifted to SGVP hospital on 2nd June 2021. Initially patient was put on BIPAP with a flow of 80-100 initially. However since last 2 days, patient has been put on HFNC with a flow of 70% and maintaining SpO2 at 89-90.

Please pray for her. We are trying to raise funds for the immediate medical expenses and emergency needs. We urge all the friends, acquaintances, and well-wishers to please contribute.
