    This fundraiser will benefit

    Aldin Hussain

    from Bangalore, Karnataka

I was in tears when the doctors told that my son has blood cancer and he’s dying. I knew I had to do something immediately. My friend who works in Bangalore told me that there are very good hospitals for cancer treatment. Without any second thoughts, I borrowed Rs 1700 from my neighbours and took the next train with my son and wife.” - Dahidul, father

Dahidul for the past one month has been pleading everyone he knows to save his son from blood cancer. But he hasn't been able to find any help in a city that he's visiting for the first time in his life. He can only save his son from dying with your help.

'Abbu, my chest is paining! I'm unable to breathe'

Aldin is the eldest in the house and he had a very normal childhood like every other kid in Narauli. He started having recurrent fever 4 months back which would subside with medication at first, but come back with greater intensity later. 2 months back, things got worse when Aldin started having chest pain. He could not breathe. Dahidul immediately took him to the doctor, only to find that Aldin has a cancerous tumor near his lungs.

“I knew something was wrong because even the medicines were not helping him get any better. It was only when I took him to Dhaka, we found out that he has a cancerous tumor near his lung. He was undergoing treatment there, but it wasn’t helping him. The tumor started spreading and we had no other choice but to take him to Bangalore.” - Dula Begum, mother

Aldin didn't have proper food or even a sip of water for the past 2 months

Aldin is suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells. For the past two months, he hasn't been able to eat food or even have a sip of water. Just the smell of food repulses him. He has stopped talking to everyone and just lies on his bed, blankly staring at the wall all day. He's losing his strength because of no proper food and fluids, and he will lose his life if he doesn't continue his chemotherapy.

“Every time he sees a doctor or a nurse coming towards him, with tears in his eyes he begs me to take him home because he doesn't want those painful injections. He needs this treatment and it’s the only way I can save him. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to pay for his treatment, but took a leap of faith anyway and came to Bangalore. I was even able to arrange some money and start his treatment now I’ve exhausted everything I had and now I don’t know how to continue it.” - Dahidul, father

With the hospital bills piling up and Dahidul running out of funds, he needs your help

Dahidul sold his tiny piece of land to start his son’s chemotherapy, but even that wasn’t enough. Aldin is responding to his treatment and he can go home healthy if he continues his treatment. Dahidul hasn’t been able to pay for Aldin's last chemo session because of no funds.

"I had to sell my only source of income for his treatment and I didn’t even hesitate while selling it because nothing more than my son’s life matters to me. We have left our little daughter Ziniya in her aunt’s care back home and have come to this distant place just to save our son. I'm helpless in every way to continue his treatment.” - Dahidul, father

Each day they are losing their hope to save their son because of no funds. Aldin is in a lot of pain and he’s scared most of the time. Aldin wants to go home but he needs your help to continue chemotherapy and fight blood cancer.
