    This fundraiser will benefit

    100 students

    from Hyderabad, Telangana

We are two Teach for India Alumni from Hyderabad. We have taught in a low-income private school in Ramnagar, Secunderabad. Through the two years of our fellowship, we taught high school students, many of whom came from single-parent households and deeply troubled homes. Often, the home environment and their community deeply impacted their emotional health. Adoloscence is a crucial period that would shape their thoughts and approach to live.

Multiple physical, emotional and social changes, including exposure to poverty, abuse, or violence, can make adolescents vulnerable to mental health problems. We believe that promoting psychological well-being and protecting adolescents from adverse experiences and risk factors that may impact their potential to thrive are critical for their well-being during adolescence and for their physical and mental health in adulthood.

We believe that, these children have a bright future ahead of them and we want to do everything in our means to make mental health accessible and affordable. This fundraiser is to help us compensate a full time school counsellor who would be visiting two schools twice a week. Your support would help us make an impact on over 200 students directly.
