This is Rufus Ben Nathaniel, our 78-day old son. Rufus was born prematurely at 32 weeks on June 13th, weighing 2.86lbs at birth now 5.07lbs.  In his short life on this earth, he has already gone through 2 surgeries to remove two large cysts that were compressing his lungs and trachea. He was on a ventilator, on CPAP, Oxygen Hood and now on Low flow Oxygen Pipe as his lungs have not yet matured to a point when he can breathe on his own and he is also battling pneumonia after the second surgery. Currently, Nebulization, antibiotics and steroid injection to continue. With all that, our little miracle is still fighting on!

My wife Sabitha and I are truly grateful for the outpouring of love, support and prayers we have seen from friends and family. It is these prayers that keep us going.  Rufus is “fearfully and wonderfully” made by our heavenly father and he has a plan for him and we look forward to the day when we can bring him home.

We created this page to raise funds for the mounting medical costs associated with Rufus’s treatment. We have maxed out our health insurance and depleted all our other resources and he will probably be in the hospital for another month or so barring no other further complications.
