Dear Supporters,

We are reaching out for your expedited help and request with folded hands for your kind and immediate attention. Rohit, 40 years old with no pre-disease, non-smoker, non-alcoholic needs urgent lungs transplant. He has a wife and two very  young daughters aged 5 & 8 years to take care of.

An appeal from Rohit's wife with folded hands:
39 years old , a house wife appeals to all of you to save her husband Rohit. Rohit was tested positive for Covid-19 on 21st April 2021. Within 3-4 days, Rohit's condition deteriorated and on 29th April he was shifted to Le Crest Hospital , Ghaziabad in ICU.
He has continued to remain critical in the Covid ICU and received injections like Remdesivir, and plasma therapy from recovered Covid patient and was also on BIPAP till 19th . Post 19th, he was shifted to ventillator .His oxygen saturation has kept falling even on ventilator machine and is affecting his vital organs. He needs to be admitted to MAX SAKET, New Delhi and immediately  put on ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) which is an artificial lung machine. Initiation cost of this therapy is Rs 7.5 lakhs and daily maintenance cost is approx. Rs 2 Lakh per day.
As of today, both his lungs are completely damaged and doctors at Le Crest/MAX SAKET hospital have advised him to undergo the very expensive Lung Transplant procedure which is being done at very few centers in India, if ECMO therapy does not work . Till date family has spent 20 + lakhs on Rohit's treatment and exhausted all their savings. The cost of lung transplant is Rs 40 lakhs rupees approx. Awaiting period for lung transplant is approximately 1 to 1.5 months during which Rohit will remain on ECMO machine under critical care (treatment cost will be around 2 lakh-2.5 per day). Postoperative care will require minimum of 15 days which will put an additional cost of 35 lakhs. The total budget excluding amount spent till date will be nearly Rs 1 crore.
Since Rohit's family has exhausted all their life savings and cost of treatment being very high, Anamika with her 2 daughters implore you to all to kindly come forward and help Rohit to get the ECMO treatment and  if required (God Forbid) lung transplant so that he can live and take care of his family again. Even a smallest contribution will make a big difference. Kindly Help.
