India is gasping for oxygen, and it needs your help!

The National Capital of Delhi is reeling under a tremendous shortage of oxygen supply and the situation is getting from bad to worse with each passing hour. The hospitals are now in begging mode, sending SOS messages for oxygen supply and each day are helplessly watching patients die due to acute shortage.

The need of the hour is to ensure that we augment the oxygen supply and infrastructure to Resuscitate Delhi.

We, a group of IIT alumni, in coordination with SaveLife foundation have therefore started a fund collection drive for oxygen concentrators.

Our Plan of Action focuses on the procurement of about 250 oxygen concentrators for donation to the Government of Delhi for effective distribution in the state hospitals. Apart from Delhi NCR, we shall also explore few cities in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The concentrators will be distributed to Delhi hospitals and COVID Care Centers based on the need in close coordination with the Delhi government. Our current priority is to procure as many concentrates as possible at the earliest.

In the next phase, we will also explore possibilities of building oxygen tanks and refilling stations, amongst other medical equipment.

An average 5L/10L concentrator which has a lifespan of 18k hours and will be on an average used for 5 days by a person, will be able to serve ~22k people in its lifetime. This will be more impactful and efficient substitute of oxygen cylinder which requires constant refilling and has multiple logistical challenges.

This is a 100% not-for-profit and charitable initiative, with proceeds going exclusively for the equipments.

In these unprecedented hour of crisis we need your support to save lives of our fellow citizens. Every penny counts. So, DONATE NOW

About SaveLife Foundation:
SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF) is an award-winning non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to saving lives in India since 2008. When COVID-19 hit India in 2020, in particular the capital city-state of Delhi, SLF’s traditional expertise in emergency medical response, first-responder training, and data analytics directly intersected with the needs imposed by the novel virus. Given its existing relationship (through a working MOU) with the Government of Delhi, SLF was immediately requested to help address these problems for the State and people of Delhi. SLF has since helped optimize State’s ambulance service reach people faster, increase the capacity of the emergency response system, and provide direct relief to those affected the most by the pandemic by providing over 10,000 PPE kits for frontline health workers, 80,000 meals for the needy affected by the national lockdown, 60 additional ambulances for the City of Delhi and 100 sanitization machines for ambulances carrying COVID positive patients.

SLF is led by Piyush Tewari, the founder and CEO, an entrepreneurial leader with seventeen years of experience in building and scaling government, corporate, and social enterprises. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT from Delhi University and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard. Piyush founded SLF in 2008 following the tragic road-crash death of a young cousin. The project will be coordinated by DeekshaTrehan, Senior Manager- Development, SaveLife Foundation.
