Why Am I Fundraising?
The recent floods in Chennai, India have drastically changed the lives of many individuals living there. Many have lost their access to basic needs (water, milk, food, etc.), and many more suffer without a home. Everyday, the poverty-striken people in Chennai wake up not knowing where they will end up sleeping. Fortunately, a myriad number of fundraisers and NGOs have been helping these people kick-start their lives again. I am fundraising money so that families in Chennai who have been affected by the floods have an opportunity to go back to their normal lives.
Who am I?
My name is Prasanna Karur, and I am an 11th grader residing in Dallas, Texas. I have family in Chennai and want to help those affected by the floods.
What Do I Plan to do With the Funds?
I plan to raise funds through my friends and family in Dallas, Texas. All of my funds will go directly to Shruthi Ravikumar's campaign on Milaap because she is doing a great job working closely with people in Chennai and is directly involved.
