The gap between the haves and the have nots can’t get bigger than this. 

A majestic school building catering to the elite stands on one side of the road while a decrepit building with broken benches, non-functional fans and cramped classrooms paints a pitiable contrast. This is the story that greets us at not one but many locations in Jamshedpur- India’s steel city. 

But what is heartening is that what they lack in infrastructure and state of the art facilities, the students make up with their enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge. We began with a quest to equip these bright souls with practical knowledge. But learning cannot happen in a dark classroom with broken benches.
