Malnutrition in tribal areas of Palghar and how you can help.

The number of child deaths due to malnutrition has sharply increased over recent months. Over 200 hundred children have died of severe acute malnutrition since April this year. Worse still, around 18,000 children have died in Maharashtra in the last one year due to acute malnutrition.

Sensitizing the government front line workers on the early signs of malnutrition in Palghar

Fight Hunger Foundation is an NGO registered under section 25 of the Companies Act in Mumbai. They have been at the forefront of responding to the crisis and have set up a field office in Palghar, where their expert team is working round the clock to detect and treat malnutrition and save the lives of the children in danger.

Fight Hunger Foundation staff screening and detecting children suffering from acute malnutrition.

Their goal is to save the lives of 1,800 children suffering from severe malnutrition by providing them with therapeutic treatment. Equally important is the activity of screening of over 5000 children to ensure they get timely treatment and are referred to the local health centers.

The situation of children in Palghar is serious. We urgently need your help to reach as many children as possible – we cannot let any more children die of hunger.

Please come forth and support their work in this emergency situation which will help save thousands of lives and enable India’s children to look forward to a brighter future.

The Foundation assures you that your entire contribution will be used towards life-saving activities in Palghar.

Training government front line workers on management of malnutrition
