We at Purnkuti have close ties with the women in villages in India, in forming a community, and ensure that they are able to sustain themselves and their families through the means of handicrafts creation and this project is an initiative by the NGO Purnkuti.
Purnkuti has been keen in ensuring that the women in our societies feel empowered and always feel the sense of surety in context to their self-sustainability.
The funds raised by the campaign are used in buying raw materials for the printed handmade articles created by the women in villages such as Bedsheets, table runners and mats, bags and other home furnishing accessories,
Since the raw materials used in the process are genuine and of good quality, the cost of the raw materials is really high and normal village folks can't afford the same.
We at Purnkuti have always been a mediator for these women folk by setting up exhibitions for selling of the articles, designing the design for the articles and also paying the women folk with an amount which allows them to be self-sufficient and stand independent and equal in the society with their male counterparts.
Purnkuti is a Non-Government Organization (NGO), duly registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1960 and certified under the 80G exemption.
