Help rehabilitate flood hit Singhwahini Village, Sitamarhi

She is a Mukhiya for last 1 year. She is also wife of IAS officer who is living apart from her family and children to end the poverty in the villages of Singhwasini Panchayat. She is Ritu Jaiswal.

For the last 1 year, with great courage and determination she was able to bring roads to the villages which didn’t see connectivity to the outer world for decades. She brought electricity to the houses which never saw light in the darkness of night.

But all her hard work is gone. Flood has damaged all the roads and the connectivity and all the electricity poles.

But the misery doesn’t end here. Most of the houses are also damaged and people are living under open sky. They don’t have food either for their empty stomach. Neither they have clothes to wear as all the belongings are gone in flood water.

The only thing that they have is courage and determination to build again and rise again. But this can’t happen without outer world support. This is not a story of a single village or a single panchayat. There are 1 crore people affected by the flood water.
We need your support in this bad time. Come forward and spread the word. All the donation will go to build shelter, foods and clothes for the villagers.

Dear Supporter,

Thank you for your support. We organised a meeting with the village people as to how to utilise this money and we came to a conclusion that as we don't have a single vehicle to carry a patient to the hospital, we should get an ambulance for the Panchayat after collecting money among ourselves.

The nearest primary health centre is around 30 km away and every now and then the pregnant women would face a lot of problems due to non-availability of a vehicle to reach the hospital. Thus it's a great help from your side in our move.

Thanks once again. We will keep you posted.
