    This fundraiser will benefit

    Saarvi

    from Kaithal, Haryana

1-year-old Saarvi can barely keep herself from scratching vigorously. Her entire body itches and sometimes she even scratches until she bleeds. The pain that she is going through is unbearable, her stomach is swollen beyond control, and no medication is helping her right now. Her liver is failing and it is killing her slowly, but all these parents can do is watch her suffer helplessly.

She underwent a surgery at just 7 weeks to survive

Saarvi suffers from Biliary atresia, a blockage in the tubes (ducts) that carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder. She was just a few weeks old when she was diagnosed with the disease. Her disease was progressively damaging the liver from inside, leading to its failure. She had to undergo an urgent surgery to recover from the disease.

She was only 50 days old when she went in for the surgery. When she was in the operation theatre, all we hoped for was her problems to end and her disease to go away. But it failed, and now she is teetering between life and death.” - Sachin, father

She needs an urgent liver transplant to survive

Saarvi’s disease has progressed to its last stage where there is only one curative option - a liver transplant. And she needs it now. If delayed, she has a risk of internal bleeding as her veins are swollen to a dangerous level. But the cost of the treatment is beyond these parents’ means.

Sachin works as a salesman at an electrical shop and Ritu is a homemaker. With a monthly income of 15,000 and piled-up medical bills, it is impossible for this couple to save their daughter from the clutches of this disease.

She is all we have, we can’t afford to lose her too

Ritu had a miscarriage once when she lost her baby in the first trimester itself. When they had Saarvi, they were overjoyed and looking forward to a fresh start. But now, they are constantly worried about losing the only child they have, and feel helpless. They blame themselves for not being able to save her from this misery.

“Over the past few days, not even a single moment has gone by where Saarvi smiled. She is constantly crying and I can’t even imagine how much pain she is in. She scratches until she bleeds and there is nothing that I am able to do. Without the transplant, I might lose my child and that thought is killing me. I just want her to be with me, grow up, and call me mummy… - Ritu, mother

Without a liver transplant, Saarvi will not be able to make it. These parents are devastated and desperately in need of help. Your kind contribution can save this little life and give these parents hope.
