Roxanne has left no stone unturned to save her 9-month-old baby girl. She has sold food, clothes, and even home-made key chains to raise funds for her baby’s treatment. Her daughter, Roanne, fondly called as Mazie, is suffering from a liver disease. A transplant at the earliest is the only hope to save little Mazie.

She won't live beyond 2 years - how can a mother bear this?

“The doctors have informed that without a liver transplant, my Mazie can only live for a maximum of 2 years. It broke my heart. It turned our world upside down. She needs the transplant as soon as possible but the cost is beyond our means. I tried working in every way possible yet I could not raise even half the amount.” - Roxanne, Mother

Roxanne has come all the way from Sorsogon, Philippines. She has 3 kids and Mazie is her youngest child. Mazie was first diagnosed with the disease when she was 2 months old. Since then, she started to raise funds for the transplant here in India. Now, she does not have much time left as the transplant has to be done as soon as possible.



Roxanne is struggling all by herself in a different country. On the other side, Mazie’s father, Allan Escultura, is working hard to take care of his other two kids back in their country. Allan works as a jeepney (a popular means of public transportation in Phillippines) driver in their Province and earns just enough to put food on their table.

“A NGO initially helped us to get here in India. But when we came here, we found out that we need more funds. Meanwhile, my baby’s eyes and skin have turned yellow. Her stomach is swollen and getting bigger almost every day. She is irritated and keeps on scratching. These days, she is having trouble breathing as well She can't even turn to her sides because of the swelling in her stomach. Her complications are going to worsen, she really doesn't have much time...”
